Candidates who qualify the exam are able to participate in JEE Advanced Counseling 2022 process. All the activities related to counseling are managed by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority).

Seat allotment will be announced 23 September for the first round. The seat allotment counseling is conducted through online mode. Candidates have to clear all the stages of the counseling process for seat allotment.

JEE Advanced 2022 counseling consists of various stages like counseling registration, choice filling and locking, provisional seat allotment, document verification, reporting to the allotted college, etc.

JEE Advanced 2022 Cut Off The marks for top 20 percentile will be based on the marks obtained by all the qualified candidates in their respective board in the particular year. The top 20 percentile cut off for 2022 will be considered for the candidates who will pass class 12th or its equivalent in 2022.

JEE Advanced 2022 Counseling Process

Candidates will have to go through the following steps during JEE Advanced Counseling 2022:

  • Registration: Firstly, candidates have to register online to participate in the counseling process. Candidates have to fill the registration details like gender, state code of eligibility, nationality etc. No fee will be charged for registration and choice filling.
  • Choice Filling and Locking: After registration, candidates need to login using their JEE Main 2022 roll number and password. Fill the maximum number of choices as per your choice for seat allotment. After the choice filling process, candidates should lock their choice. If students do not lock their choices then the last saved choices will be automatically locked.
  • Provisional Seat Allotment: The seat allottees are able to download the “Provisional Seat Allotment Letter” and E-Challan. E-Challan will be used for payment of seat acceptance fee.
  • Seat Acceptance: Candidates have to pay Rs. 20,000 for reserved categories and Rs. 45,000 for general candidates as seat acceptance fee. The fee can be paid through SBI Bank Net Banking and E-Challan. Candidates have to take the printout of fee payment for further use.
  • Reporting to the allotted centre: After the payment of seat acceptance fee students have to report at the allotted center for document verification. The seat will be confirmed by the reporting center after verification.
  • Reporting to the allotted institutes: Once the seat is confirmed, students will have to report to the allotted institute to complete the admission formalities. Students have to appear in the college before the due date.

Documents required at the time of reporting

Candidates have to bring the required documents at the allotted reporting center for the verification process. Candidates must bring their original documents along with one set of self attested photocopies. After verification, the original documents will be returned to the candidates.   • Undertaking by the candidate
  • Photo ID card (issued by government agency / last attended school / class XII admit card)

  • Date of Birth Proof (10.)th class marksheet)
  • 12th class or equivalent mark sheet
  • medical certificate
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • PWD certificate (if applicable)
  • Registration-cum-lock option for seat allotment
  • Two passport size photographs (same as uploaded in the registration form)
  • Passport of candidate and parents (for foreign nationals), OCI certificate or PIO card (if applicable), etc.
